Welcome to Romney's of Kendal

George Romney Ltd was established in 1936 by the late Sam T. Clarke. It has remained a small family business and is now with the fourth generation of the founder's family.

Romneys are famous for their Kendal Mintcake which was carried to the top of Mount Everest in May 1953, on the first successful expedition to the summit. Kendal Mint Cake can now rank as one of the world's most travelled sweets.

As well as being the manufacturer of the original Kendal Mint Cake, we have very recently diversified into the production of high quality butter fudge. Various flavours and liqueur additives have proved very successful and it is hoped to increase our production capacity during the next few years.

We are able to offer personalisation of a large range of our products, to suit our customers individual requirements, and are only too pleased to offer helpful service.
